Definitions of Graffiti and Street Art
« Graffiti as a personal mark-making can describe anything from a poster or painting to a plastic toy glued to a wall. In its narrowest interpretation, graffiti refers to the hip-hop graffiti writing that originated in New York in the late 1960s. Since graffiti is mainly associated with tags and pieces in this 'classic' style, other phrases have been coined for art produced on the street.
Street Art is a term that was first used in the 1980s to describe any art in the urban environment not in the predominant hip-hop style. »

Get Up
«to explore my own city.
to avoid the inner city buff.
for fame and notoriety.
to get up in different areas.
to inspire some graffiti to start coming out of those areas.
to get photos that can travel over the seas and make people see reality in a different context.
I paint in all areas. this is graffiti. we take the streets…. either high traffic areas or areas that we specifically like because of the texture. or the wall. or the environment. we love the photo. the photo immortalises the moment which is gone immediately. I paint galleries too. and boring walls in suburbia. and main roads and freeways sometimes. and sometimes I sit at home and don’t feel like painting at all. everything has its place and time. It just depends on the day in question.»

Friends: Teenagers and Adults
«let's think of graffiti as a moody, rebellious teenager, unconcerned with approval from anyone but his or her peers, and street art as the slightly awkward, but pleasant young adult, more inclined to communicate to a wider audience.»

ELES é que andam a viver acima das nossas possibilidades
Há cerca de uma hora estreámos o nosso mais recente estêncil. Muito em breve haverá mais.
This happened one hour ago. We've just used a new stencil to build a whole neighbourhood at the background.

Red Bull Street Art View (Again)
As we said before, there is a Street Art Gallery online and (thanks to Rodiney) we found a few more stuff from Dalaiama. This time we're looking at the walls of Florianópolis, the brazilian capital city that, according to the United Nations, has the highest Human Development Index, the best quality of life! If you are curious all you have to do is check http://streetartview.com/?search=dalaiama
Once more we say, if you know any other spot not shown in this small collection, please mark it on the map. Thanks ;)
There you can look for paintings from other artists and that can be fun as well :) Cheers!

Internet ?
«I stay off the internet. The internet is like poison. It really is. I don’t want my face on the internet. There’s a lot of misinterpretation. Anyone can be anyone, say anything. (...)
It’s a good way to connect, that’s true. But I think true graffiti artists have a disconnect with a lot of things in this world. At least I do. I stay disconnected- try to stay disconnected from a lot of stuff and that’s part of why I try to stay off the internet as much as I can. I mean, I’m on a little bit, but there are people out there creating a whole graffiti world on the internet; websites and storylines, bios, all that. They’re selling themselves on the internet and I don’t want to do that.»

The Final Truth
« There is neither creation nor destruction,
neither destiny nor free will,
neither path nor achievement.
This is the final truth. »

Cutting Houses
Uma vida não chega para concretizar todas as ideias novas que vão surgindo. Aproveitamos o tempo possível, projetando novas imagens e cortando novos estênceis. Brevemente numa parede do teu bairro ;)
We have lots of new ideas and are always busy, always short of time... Anyway we've been working on new drawings and new stencils. Very soon they're gonna hit a street in your neighbourhood ;)

Back to Monte Estoril
Mais tinta derramada sobre as asas da manhã. Bom dia habitantes da cidade! =)
Again and again we hit the streets, still flying over the city, right on time, just before dawn. Good morning everybody! =)
