Dos 3200 planetas já identificados fora do Sistema Solar pelo telescópio espacial Kepler, 1284 foram anunciados de uma só vez na terça-feira (10) desta semana.
A NASA acrescentou que destes 1284 novos exoplanetas encontrados, cerca de 550 podem ser semelhantes à Terra e NOVE podem mesmo possuir as condições necessárias para albergar seres vivos.
O mais extraordinário de todos está aqui representado juntamente com o satélite que orbita em torno de si. O que verdadeiramente intrigou os cientistas foi a sua morfologia e a certeza de que nele há vida extraterrestre.
NASA estimates there are out in the galaxy to study and discover tens of billions of Earth-sized habitable planets.
Last tuesday 10, it was announced that the Kepler mission has discovered 1,284 planets, the most exoplanets at one time. This discovery is far better than Kepler-452-b announcement. Of these newly discovered planets, 550 are possibly rocky planets roughly around the same size as Earth and NINE orbit in the habitable zone of their star.
One of them is shown above with its moon. Scientists are sure it supports extraterrestrial life.
