Yes, this is what Banksy said but it's not what he has done in the exhibition he promoted in London, May 2008. In the regulations he stated clearly: whoever paints outside of the designated area will be prosecuted...
Apparently this "rebel" wants no more problem with the police? Maybe being associated with criminal acts will lower the value of his paintings in the market... inconvenient when one has bills (and lawyers) to pay... it makes him think twice!
